30. Oct. 2008, Nice, France: International Workshop on Building Integration of PV
The main objective of the workshop is to bring installers, industry and the research sectors from PV and building sector together, in order to highlight the potential and chances of building integration of PV (BIPV) and to join efforts for the preparation of a European standard and regulations regarding BIPV. The present status is that each European country has it own regulations and demands on certificates or guarantees for BIPV, which makes it difficult to enter the market.

An overview of the current situation of the issues relating to building integration of PV will be presented with examples and experience from people in the field.
Focus will be on:
- Best practice examples of BIPV
- Smart BIPV concepts (like plug & play and pre-fabrication systems)
- Glass applications
- Building physical aspects of integration (like wind loads and temperature behavior)
- Fire risks
- Application of new (thin film) materials in building products and the way to develop new integration products
The work and results on standardization in the project IP Performance on this subject will be presented by the partners (Research & Industry).
